The online courses have the same learning objectives as the face-to-face version and conducted by our staff with both teaching and corporate experience.

For your asynchronous online learning, you will be provided with self-guided lesson course materials which may include audio and visual content. You will be expected to complete assigned work as well as participate in discussion boards or social media platforms with your tutor and fellow learners. You will work to your own schedule in asynchronous learning.

The synchronous or live online session is your virtual classroom. It is the opportunity to check your understanding and engage in authentic language practice with your online tutor and fellow learners.

We believe that to truly benefit from the online classes, you should be competent in written and spoken English at B1 on the CEFR. This is to ensure that you are sufficiently able to fully understand and complete the asynchronous coursework.

The short course will help you refine your work email with a focus on presenting messages or ideas efficiently and effectively.

There are five (5) units – accepted business formats, levels of formality and appropriacy and styles and preferences. You are advised to spend 45 to 60 minutes on each unit, or about a total 5 hours learning asynchronously. There is a 20 to 30-minute synchronous session with your tutor at the end of every unit. This virtual classroom may be pre-scheduled or held at a mutually agreed time.
